Night Time Heart Burn

Nighttime heart burn is fast becoming a common problem. This is because of the unhealthy diet routines that we have, plus our lack of exercise. The following are some of the preventive measures that you can take to eradicate this problem.

1. Eating the major meal:

Make lunch your major meal rather then dinner, this way your stomach won't be working hard on that big meal when you go to sleep. Another great technique is to eat 4 or 5 smaller means rather big meals this way not only do you avoid heartburn but guarantee a better shaped body.

2. Eating early:
Don’t sleep as soon as you eat. Give it at least 2 hours before your slumber. If you take naps, try sleeping in a chair. Lying down with a full stomach can cause stomach contents to press harder against the LES, increasing the chances of refluxed food. Also try avoiding late night snacks.

3. Avoid foods trigger heartburn:

Check for foods that can lead to heartburn and make them a serious no, no. always make healthy choices in terms of food. Your health is far more important than the most delicious cheese stake in the world.

4. Sleep on your left:
Research suggest that sleeping on your left side position aids digestion and helps with the removal of stomach acid. So switch your position if you are sleeping otherwise.

5. Wear loose-fitting clothing:

Choose your sleeping attire with care as tight clothes lead to heartburn and other problems as well.
